At Sheffield Acupuncture Clinic
Can you be my right hand man?
Job Title
Clinic Assistant
Job description
Due to the expansion of the acupuncture pop-up clinics, I would like to dedicate more time to my patients and their care during these events. I am therefore looking for someone to work alongside me to help with the organisation and smooth running of these events whilst my patients are receiving treatment.
Applicants must have strong organisational/planning/time-keeping skills to ensure I am running to time. They will be well aware of the set systems and processes in place for patients before and after treatment (information/training provided). A background in sales and/or customer facing roles would be an advantage as the role will also require you to liaise with patients before and after treatment. They will also help with the set up/take down of these events.
The ability to fuse fun, organisation and effective communication (gift of the gab) are a must! No experience working in the acupuncture world is necessary but a keen interest in natural health is essential!
The role will hopefully develop over the year into clinical personal assistant/administrator, depending on the success and fruition of these events. The role is really what you make of it 🙂
These events are currently running once per month in a variety of locations around Sheffield. Specific dates yet to be confirmed, however they usually run on Saturday afternoons so flexibility during this time would be required. Typically running for 3-5 hours each time, you will be required to remain for the duration, offering patients cups of tea and creating a fun, informal yet professional environment in the waiting area.
requirements
- Natural health enthusiast
- Experience working in a customer facing role/sales
- Experience working in admin
Additional information
Experience working with online marketing platforms such as Mailchimp is appreciated but not essential.
The Pop-up Clinics
More information about these events
My aim for 2017 is to help empower you with the ability to reach your desired level of well-being, through natural techniques such as Chinese medicine, meditation, movement, nutrition and lifestyle. By understanding what stress is doing to our bodies and how we can take control and manage this, we are then able to also empower others, to lift them and help them reach their true, vibrant and energetic potential, free from physical and emotional “dis-ease”.
I will be running 1 workshop and/or pop-up clinic each month for the next 12 months, centered around a different theme relating to stress and our bodies.
January offers an introduction to stress and the detrimental effects it can have on our physical and emotional health. But throughout the year, I will be delving deeper into specific areas about stress in relation to anxiety, depression, fertility, pain and sleep.
Pop-up Clinics // Acupuncture in a group setting.
Receive an acupuncture treatment in a unique, multi-bed setting. Collaborating with different health and yoga studios across Sheffield, you will be welcomed in to a restful, healing space for 40 minutes of relaxation, surrounded by like-minded people and warming tea for these cold, wintery days.
The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approach to stress is to balance the flow of Qi or energy through meridian lines in your body. Each energy line and emotion is linked to an organ, for example; your Liver energy is tied to anger, Spleen energy to excessive worry, Kidney to fear, and Lung to grief and anxiety. Acupuncture seeks to restore any imbalance by inserting fine needles into key energy points around your body.
In this pop up, multi (yoga) bed acupuncture clinic, you’ll receive a simple, relaxing yet powerful 30 minute treatment that offers you respite from the stresses and symptoms of modern living.
